When in Des. and where in Transkei are you going. I'm going to mazeppa in Nov. to Des. If you are there i can show you how i do it. i'v lost most of my big fish though tackle that was not strong. Now i'm going to try 450lb nylon maby 20m long connected to 450lb steel wire of say 5 to 10m long. On this you need VERY stong hooks. Anything from 16/0 to 20/0 hoeks that wil not bend open. You are going to fish very far out and hoping to hook very big fish that can run 700m wiht there first run. So you need 'n big real. I use trinidad 50 with 800m braid of 50lb and topshot of 300m of .55 or .60 connected to above mentioned. I resently got a Alvey real wich i filled with 80lb braid. it takes 1900m of line. I'm also going to use this for my kite fishing ther.
