Homie mate,
Are you going to be fishing for eds or non-eds? A very good mid level reel to go for is the Saltist 40, casts well, holds plenty line.

Yup bru, most definately ! After casting with yours and Reef's 30, I fully agree. Only problem is we busy looking for a bigger place, and the rent, she's not very cheap !!!
Gonna have to wait to get my multiplier !
Eish, makes me sad again !

yes what must we bring.

here is my suggestion for a price.

we have a small comp. with three different categories, Bait presentation, casting and knot tying.

Bait presentation: everyone entering must be bring a piece of chokka and sard, on the day we decide what bait to be made up, everyone makes up a bait, tag it and leaves it on the judges table, the judges then pic a winner without putting a face to the bait.

knot tying: one the day ppl must do three most common knots used, ones again will be instructed on the day. knots will include, leader to mainline, mainline to leader, leader to terminal tackle, and then obviously tying hooks, swivels, sinker, or steel trace, best knotted knot takes the price, ppl may be told to use a specific knot, i.e catspaw for tying a hook or blood knot to tie two lines.

Casting: simple one, the one who casts best out of three consecutive casts.

overall winner takes the price.

Reefer suggested that everyone chips in R100 to enable the purchase of a price. If we get more than 20 guys we could be able to give a really nice price.

what do yous think, maybe too cumbersome? or other suggestions.
