What we have all been expecting for a while now has finally happened - the sea has claimed one of then landmark buildings in Struisbaai.

Nostra - housing a bar, restaurant and Bella Luna pizzeria - has finally given in to the onslaught of the sea when the front wall collapsed during high tide this afternoon. The whole building is now unstable and we fear the imminent collapse of the stoep as the sea is taking away all the sand under the pillars.

So sorry sorry!

That building has forever been built too close to the water though

I also had brilliant times there

Know Jan and ...Ingrid well

If you look towards the middle of the bay you will feel the wreck of the Nostra lying there

They discovered it...very shallow  :)

He shared with me that one should concentrate on the 50 percent of people (you will ever know) who mean you well, and write off the rest!

Good advice...maybe more 20:80?

He once welded my wheelchair at 22h00 Friday night at the counter...everyone in the bar and restaurant arc eyes :)

Good people

:wfish

I was there only a week & a half ago, my first time in Struis Baai. Sorry for the business owners, we hope you my recover & got insurance. The Planet is changing as we are all well aware. Has this ever happened before ( comparing to The Brass Bell in Kalk Bay, numerous time)?
