http://www.looklocal.co.za/looklocal/content/en/benoni/benoni-announcements-general?oid=235425&sn=Detail&pid=331&Operation-fish-rescue

Was the Carp relocated at Harties

How can they allow it as getting permits for relocating of carp is allmost impossible.

There is Yellowfish in that system.

Please anyone with more info?

Really Jake? lol...

If you read the article you will see that the Harties Fisheries ppl assisted, and they have the necessary permits. And they moved the fish.

So tell us why you felt you had to post this? I'm curious.

lets agree that we wont allways agree. I am objective- Carp isnt everything for me allthough I like catching them as well. Carp is and will for allways be a foreign invading fish in South Africa.

I dont have a problem when Carp is relocated to private dams that has no access to Natural rivers where there is for example yellowfish, Kurper -indeginous fish that is supposed to be there.

If the move was legal I cant say much...................... I am just pro-indeginous fish, I wish we were more that felt the same and not so many biased people just because they catch Carp.

Illegal comment...........eish thats a new term I wasnt aware of.

My question was, if it was a legal relocation, seems like it was. Like I said if it was legal I cant say much.

Hey guys I just have/had some questions if you read the original post you will see. I am just pro indeginous thats all my friends.

Maybe he should just read the whole article first.or jake do you think it would have been the right thing to do to leave the fish to die?

like I said I just had some questions regarding the moving of the fish.

If you have no permits to move the fish unfortunately you must let them die, remember I said unfortunately. Dont kill the messenger, but it sounds like they had permits.
