Hiya

I've used the suggested link:

http://continuouswave.com/cgi-bin/propcalc.pl

And must say that it's extremely accurate!!

I have 17p props on my 33' Buttcat, powered by 225hp honda's (1.86:1 gearbox). Propped the boat to push BIG loads, ie. 1500kg ice plus 1000kg's water plus HOPEFULLY 1500-2000kg of fish.

Using the link, i get to 41.5knots (using 10% slip) as per their calculation, which is spot on with what i get in the real world.

Real world performance, 20knots at 3200rpm, boat with crew and fuel, no ice or bait. 20knots at 3600rpm with 1000-1500kg ice plus 150kg bait.......

NOW, if i were to prop her for normal use, ie. no need to carry 4 000kg+ of load, i'd go for 21p props, which according to the link would result in a just over 50knot top speed.............

Hey FE, do you know whether this boat has been delivered? They used my trailer to build the trailer for this one and still wanted to go check the boat out before they deliver it.

anyone going out in case i need a tow? LOL

Why? It will just be in the way. Why don't you put it on the T Top?

Good luck with the test run!
