These trips to the Kings is a totally mind altering experience.  You WILL have opportunities at a 40kg Kingfish (Yellowtail), you WILL have opportuniites at 50kg Bass, you WILL have opportunites at Striped Marlin.

Next Feb, Royboy is guiding 2 groups of lucky Saffers on this trip.  Even Roy gets lucky sometimes -

Sheez Chris! Awesome trip mate....you guys had a blast! Well done on the Bass-Beast mate - a well deserved PB! Great for the local guys to see what the new JSRs are capable of.... the "Believers" are starting to overtake the "Non-Believers"!

Old Tattooed "2 Tooth?" - she wasn't at the local in Manganui? Is she on holiday maybe.....? Ha Ha Ha - that auntie beats any nightmare!!!!! Front Row AB maybe? Any rugby team in the world would have to change their undies after seeing that one.....

Can't wait until February! Its a blessing to to fish at the Three Kings - some of the best fishing on our planet... and if the truth be told, you Kiwis are pretty awesome people as well!

Chat later - RB

Thanks Roy although I'm not sure you will think the same after the Cantabs beat up the Bulls tomorrow.

Didn't want to ask about your girlfriend at the Pub. We were happy to not have to cringe every time we scanned the bar.

Forget all the sales talk about fishing rods that you hear from fishing shops or fishing shows, this is real life proof of what punishment these rods can take. Insane stuff.

I'm interested to know, any broken gear Chris?

This is one place I will be fishing one day!

we busted a few too many leaders and some braid both due to oversized fish and crossed lines on 2 occassions.  The odd bent jig hook and one busted rod.

Fish this size will always find that weakness in tackle or yourself, sometimes both!  We only bust off the largest of fish (((zom(bie))))

Great report Chris. Glad you got to go to the Kings after your cancellation earlier this year. Roy is looking forward to his trips next February - dying to really bend the new Jigstars on some monsters.

Our new Jigstar rods should be arriving imminently . Can't wait to see them and try out the new 120
