I believe there is a "flute-like" instrument that can be used to exercise lungs to enhance breatholding/ capacity.

Does anyone know about such instrument and advise re stockists??

You guys talking about powerlung (http://www.powerlung.com/)

Cycle Lab can't get them anymore. I e-mailed Johri (and got a reply that I should check with Orca so mailed them, they will find out for me but don't stock anymore) tried basically every where. According to Daniel from Cycle Lab a company called "Penta Medical and Dental" used to bring them in but no one took over from them since they stopped.

You looking +- R1500 to bring it in from overseas (shipping incl.)

http://www.spearfishingworld.com/powerlung?gclid=CN-Iy760wbECFU6JfAodW0oA2g

I had one, and my dog chowed it, so just doing the basic O2 & CO2 tables with the apneatrainer now and try to go swim every morning (been lazy the last 2 weeks and it's been !@# cold.)

If I can afford it will get another powerlung they work great!!!!

Thanks.

I found something similar " Expanda Lung" at Johri's in Brackenfell, Cape Town for considerably cheaperie R250..

Boils down to a mouthpiece with a valve that can be set at different resistance levels.

Seem to work well
