We did a little culling the long weekend on a friends farm in the Karoo, and I was lucky enough to shoot a couple.

this bull was shot by a friend and slaughtered out to 173kg

Hey Go fish

Thanx for the reply and yes they where nice bulls

To answer your question, they weren’t hunted in the Eastern Cape, but actually a little closer to your side of the world close to Leugamka
The WC hunting season started the 1st of May, but the guy where we hunted has a problem with the amount of Kudus he has on his property due to the damage they cause to his lands, so he gets permits to hunt out of season (not that he does it much)

I wouldn’t dare do anything to jeopardize my license (I’m a PH) so always make sure that the paperwork is in order

Thanx theedgevis

There are quite a few places where one can shoot fallow dear around PE, but I need a little more detail before I can answer your question. How far are you willing to travel? Do you want to shoot a buck or a doe? Are you shooting for meat or trophy?

Hey F.L.A.S.H,

Good to know, sometimes you get people that are ..... no need to go further, I'm sure you know what I mean. I'm also a PH and always encourage responsible hunting.

Cheers
