She has never fished in her life before she met me, I reckon there are thousands of girls out there that if introduced to fishing properly will like the sport, check Miles's wife ulling out 80kg tunas etc etc.

I would not look for #2, but rather buy a dog. Single you can fish whenever you like, with whom you like, and, if the notion takes you, get home drunk. The dog will still be happy to see you.
If you feel like company, any pub in town will get you company for a shooter and 2 Breezers...LOL

Hy druk haar styf teen hom vas,

Soen haar in die nek en op die mond.

Die vrou raak in 'n "Trans",

En die dokter sê vir die man:

"Dit is wat jou vrou nodig het -

Drie maal per week. Kan jy dit doen?"

Man: "Wel dokter, ek kan haar Maandae

En Woensdae hier aflaai,

Maar Vrydae vang ek vis".

I think i have the best fishing partner in my wife. She introduced me to fishin and even bought my first rod and even ties my trace lines for me. I work shifts and am mostly off during the week and she is the first to suggest we go fishing and even reminds me to pack my beers and fills my hip flask. But now she is taking a break as she is 6 months pregnant and i get an ear full if i dont land anything.

We go down to the cottage most week-ends and if the wife doesn't fish as well she watches from the verandah. The only female support the wife has is the maid, 3 sons and even the parrots a male so she would be a little out voted. She always encourages us to fish as we generaly do it together. I could say its a case of mind over matter, I don't mind and she doesn't matter but thats not true. (and I have her permission to say so).

I must say, I am one of the lucky guys. Me and my wife plan our fishing trips together. We can't wait for the next camping weekend to come around.

She is the best. She does not fish all the time, but does not mind just relaxing and me fishing. I have my 5 year old girl that fishes with me.

Yup, I am lucky.

For the guys, a bumper sticker:

My wife says she'll leave me if I go fishing...
Hell, I will miss her.
