Jobfish are my ultimate trophy fish to hunt. The extreme depths and weary nature make these formidable adversaries.

Sorry about the quality though, the vis wasn't too great and GoPro's don't like murky water all that much.

I cannot begin to describe the thrill of just seeing big Jobfish. Landing them is out of this world.

Problem with that clip is if you haven’t hunted those darn fish you don’t appreciate it!
Nice fish. Must agree Jobs over 10kg get the heart rate up.

Only after editing the vid did I realise I didn't add the pics in afterwards.

And the the 14kg one.

Anyone who knows me will attest that I will choose a Jobfish above almost any other fish. And the deeper they are, the better I like it.

The water wasn't that clean, which allowed me the chance on them. On occasion the water at Protea is crystal but then the fish are very skittish. I have worked on various techniques to get these big ones (and believe me there are bigger ones). I lost a gun a few years back to one around the 18-20kg mark as well as one two years ago of 20kg plus.
