Hi

Yeah i paid 280US$ for my gopro surf with a 32gig SD card, that was when the dollar was still R7.00 and now its more like R8.00.

Worth it, very good quality, made a few clips on the jetski, one of them was on ASFN as viewers insert on the 2nd January.

Lots of issues with the GoPro hero 3. Search the web...

Mine would just freeze and sometimes just not record anything (corrupt files).

Loved my Hero 2.

I use Wondershare Video Editor to make my movies but you must first run your clips through GO PRO CINEFORM to get them into the correct file format.Cineform is a free download from the Go Pro website.

:::S where could I mount the go pro on my paddle ski with out having the risk of damaging the camera or my ski?

I mounted mine using the adhesive mounts meant for surf boards (GoPro accessory). I put one on the nose of the kayak and the other on the back just behind the dry hatch. This way I could alter the views of the camera as I liked. I use the one on the back for launching as it gives you a better view of the waves and then once in the sea, I would change it to the front for all the fishing action.

Hi Piet, sorry for the late reply. We bought a GoPro 3 from a guy (Jaque ?) who used to work from Clifton Hill but I believe he has now moved to the Heritage Market. The boys now have Gopros 1,2 and 3 and all get nice footage spearfishing and off the jetski. I think it was around R3000.00
