Myself & Karen went fishing at a small dam nearby this week-end. We managed to get feed into the water on Friday before a mini hurricane hit us (That happens alot lately) We stuck to it after we had little sleep and got rods in on Saturday around dawn. We fed around 10 kilos consisting of about 50% GT boilies and 50% Particles (Hemp, Tigernuts, maize) Hook-baits were boilies only with chocolate glugged hook-baits producing action very quickly. Peach & Pine also worked well, so did a concotion I rolled last week to test consisting of 50% GT birdfood base mix with the other 50% consisting of crushed betaine pellets, crushed hemp & Robin Red. In fact all 6 rods we took in no matter what boilie was produced a run during the evening.
Early Sunday morning we switched to chocolate boilies only, I fished them with 100 x 150mm PVA bags filled with boilie crush, whole boilies and pellets topped-up with chocolate glug and Karen fished mouse traps without bags. I got runs much quicker but hers came through a bit later just as nicely.
We managed 10 runs with 7 fish on the bank from 8 kilos to 11.5kilos. We packed up Sunday Lunch time.
these are some fish we caught during the morning in day time. The weather during the night was a bit off so fish were just weighed and released.
