Fished Mazeppa 5 times in the last 12 months, was checked 7 times and saw 4 people issued with R2000 fines and had their day's fishing cut short.

Were checked 8 times for fishing permits and every time saw fishermen fined and or sent back to cars or houses to get permits.

Remember if your gilly is handling tackle he needs a permit or he will be fined and sent away from the water. Get arrogant and cheeky with them and you'll be collecting your fishing tackle at the regional Conservation offices when you go pay your fines.

Hi All,

Please could I get the email details for the Umtata office. Not sure if it changed. Would Umtata mouth to Mbolompo be covered by the Umtata office.

Tx

Hi All,

Please can someone provide me with some assistance. I have not been successful in getting ahold of Bongeka from the Umtata office - Probably tried the 047 5311191 no over 20 times. Have emailed the documents and not received any responses.

Anet from the EL office has been superb.

Is there by any chance an alternate no for the Umtata office?

Vernon

IT doesn't cost a cent it's just so that they know who is using the coast legally and who not.

Welcome to the club! My last good fish was about a month ago on the left of the Pyp! Where did you go?

Hi Mike

Nice Kob! "Die pyp" being Strand?

I recently moved from Hermanus to Blouberg area for at least a couple of months and decided to explore the West coast a bit. So far have thrown a line near Melkbos (Bontkop area) and once at Ganzekraal in front of the Lapa.
I have done a fair amount of Sealine research on the West coast and am keen to try Spreeuwalle, the actual Kabeljou bank at GKraal, maybe even Soverby or further North at some stage. And then of course closer to home, Holbaai, Bontkop etc - love the look of that specific stretch of beach. Seems that some of the guys who were once very active in this region have long since disappeared off this forum - Subaruseun, Wayne and others. I'm very curious to know what lurks in these waters

The spot was the Pyp next to Beespens and Blue waters. There was a thread started by ZeeQ some time ago regarding Gaanzekraal and it had quite a bit of information with input from lots of members but my search on the link came up blank.

Maybe if we ask the mods nicely they can restore it for us. http://www.sealine.co.za/view_topic.php?id=45644&forum_id=16&highlight=Gaanzekraal
