Another 400/2

So here we go again. After visiting my local GP who is as avid angler I ended up with a 400/2 in urgent need of some TLC.

The idea was to refit it with a fuji trigger winch and do a full monty with a flip guide and fuji NLG’s 20mm and16mm down to the tip. Split shrink wrap grip and some blue flashing.

The rod was in a bad state with the rod coating coming off with the stroke of your hand. The rod was covered with reflective tape that covered nearly one third of the rod. The crowning piece for me was a metal winch and a wooden butt that nearly weighed as much as the rod itself. The following is a series of pics of the before and after. Hope it once again inspires the guys to try it on there own rods,

It's nice to see all the TLC given back to that rod. Hope it lands some steam trains for you!!!!

A friend gave me his old 350/3 about 2 months ago.

After the make-over he wants it back....lol
