We also did some sight casts to the goldies in the dams.

They have a weird way of chowing you. They start of by circling the fly then bump into it one or twice then circle again and then only eat the fly.

I saw that many times and mised a couple of fish because of that. I think these fish ave grown clever with all the fishing pressure. But iets an awesome venue for an afternoon.

I know this is an old post. But when will there be a social again? Would love to meet everyone and get a few pointers as me and my wife are both raw beginner(never caugth anything on fly)

Just want to say thanks to Spongebob for all the help. Him and Brett gave me awesome advise yesterday at braam's place and I had a great time.
It was just a shame that I had to leave so early as I realy got the hang of the cast .... Next time , next time.

Thanks Pipeman. I haven't been fly fishing for a few years and want to see if I can remember how it all works. Am I correct in assuming yellowfish are to be found in the Vaal area? I see there are quite a few posts on yellowfish in the forum - I'll work my way through them.
