Belly Swivel + Wood Stickbait/Popper Deficiency

Hi all. I was just lazing around thinking about GT fishing again - does it ever end? All the seemingly positive hookups with subsequent losses came to mind. One of the theories is that the GT grabs the wood so hard that the hooks dangle both sides of his head and then he eventually spits it without hooking up. Would the belly hook on the swivel also hinder hooksets due to it spinning on impact with the outer mouth - if the fish didn't engulf the whole lure?! I have noticed far better hookups with wired belly attachments.

forget trebles go with a single 7/0 shout kudako assist hook attached to the nose ring almost 100% hook up rate . theory is the GT engulfs the popper and the assist gets him . works great on yellowfin tuna last season wahoo or orion stickbaits were my lures .
