If your boat has a braai attached to the side rails and you use charcoal try to anchor so the wind blows any embers away from the boat. MAy save your boat from being toasted.

Fires are not legal on boats. That said I enjoyed lots of kreef on a cob before I got my gas braai from Bennie. If you get the cobb use the cobblestones they pricey but work like a bomb.

Fires on a boat can be dangerous, Rum and coke even worse! Never combine the 2! Always be careful!

Never fire...too many things can go wrong...you need to slip up only once!!!

Best bet IMO is pack some sarmies, hardboiled eggs, cooked meats/hoenderboudjies/frikadelle... and a flask of coffee/soup if you want something warm...

Never allowed hard boiled eggs on my boat when I had one...that said, I can't say that matters improved without them LOL.

Hi guys I made a braai for a guy that's fishing the gam this weekend it fits on the side of the boat.
It uses just 6 to8 pieces of charchoal works great but still one must be safe on the water but the braai thing can work open flames won't I even put a lit on it to make it safer I will hear by the guys how it worked when they get back.

PUT a VERY wet towel over the fuel tank/s it kills the fumes from the petrol and reduces the risk of a spark igniting fuel vapour.

Guys just something to think about..... fuel flames and water do NOT mix well.
I think those that light fires on boat are seriuosly looking for trouble.
