Hi guys, I'm new here

Looking for some people to go diving with, the weather looks good for the weekend and I'm very eager to dive, though I guess this post is a bit late. I've been diving in PE the last few years and now I'm back in the cape.

Let me know if any of you are keen to dive

P.S. I'm free to dive weekdays, holidays..whenever

Cheers Chris

Hey there Chris. Whereabouts are you staying in Cape town. I live in the CBD. I normally dive 3 or 4 times a week. Im still a newbie. But i dive around seapoint quite a bit if you in the area let me know and we can head for a dive. There's another guy shifty also in CBD that you can dive with too. Drop me a PM if you keen.
Thanks
John::respekt:

Ahoy

I stay out in Kuilsrivier, but don't mind travelling.Been trying to figure out where to dive tomorrow, but no decisions as of yet. been thinking of going either out toward melkbos or hangklip, maybe capepoint. You got any advice? the sea looked nice at blouberg on wed, but have no idea where the sea will be good tomorrow. I've never dived out at seapoint, but maybe that's an option too

I was all over the show today, from melkbos to scarborough to rooi els...pretty much the same story everywhere, flat but dark brown/green, looks like some kind of algal bloom?anyway saw some guys getting in just past millers and to me the best spot looked to be smits winkel, maybe tomorrow will be better. I didn't dive, lost my enthusiasm after getting stuck in traffic

Hey Chris,

Welcome aboard mate. As soon as my ear heals I will definitely get wet with you... That came out wrong :p

Like with Simba we normally just dive Camps and Seapoint. Found a few awesome spots in Seapoint, well when vis aint an issue anyway.

Always a problem with no car missioning on a scooter aint that easy.

Let us know when you want to hit this side and John and myself will join.

Regards, Shifty.

Hey Chris,

Welcome brother!

I often dive during the week. In fact, its the only time I dive lately. Tuesday & Wed morning look like a great dive days. The swell pushes on Wed afternoon. Work this week looks hectic though... not sure when I can get down.
I mainly dive in Kommetjie and cape point. You definitely need a wild card for the point though. Obtainable at TMNP in Westlake (Please be advised: You need proof of residence lately for the Cape Town wild card)

Let me know when you have a gap.

Cheers,
L

Hi Ledge

Thanks for the welcome, by the looks of things I'll be free most of this week, maybe going to hermanus on the weekend, but by then the weather looks unhappy anyway.

Just a point Eckart, it is illegal to dive within 2 miles of Cape point - the dive areas were shut down 'cos they can't police the perly properly.  You are only allowed to dive Cape point from shore, not from a boat - they made that exception to allow us to dive it fromshore.  From Batsata around to the Olifantsbos reserve, I think?
