I normally use a golf(topFlite/Spalding) practise ball with a piece of wire through it and then a 3 way swivel tide to it at the bottom. The top is twisted closed so that you can attach your line there. Use 2 different hook snoot lengths 20 - 40cm with very very small hooks. Bait up with small pieces of bread/sardine/anchovy oil mix and you are good to go.

You can use a cork or these small pill holders which you can then fill up with lokaas. I use all of these methods. The most important thing is that you have to chum!

Strepie ,Thanks for the advise. What would you say is the ideal hook size cos' during the past weekend i used very small hooks which carrenteens just swolled.when it came to the mullets,They where just   holding the the bait and if you jerked the rod for the mullet to get caught,it would just leave the bait

Do i make the chum and throw it in the water when fishing for mullets?

Thanks and much appreciated response
