This looks like an awesome reel...anyone got one?
Anyone know what one should pay for this reel and how it compares to the likes of Shimano's Toriums and Trini's and other Daiwa reels?

It is an awesome reel, ultra smooth with plenty crank power, I use mine both for bait fishing as well as spinning, it is the first reel that comes out the kit when I'm on the beach.

Personally, if taken care of properly will last you a lifetime.

Expect to pay between R3700 to R4000 depends where you buy, enjoy!

The price is a bit steep BUT you will land almost any edible...

I have had mine for a few years now and it will never part ways with me!!!

888, you can try to land shark, small shark yes!
I am going to upgrade my washers for Carbontex and redo my bearings at the same time. My reel is abt 2 yrs young now.
Fantastic reel for ed's particularly; rather go bigger for Shark fishing (the bigger the better)As you are intrstd in the Saltiga HK50, no problems there. Lighter and more robust than some others we know of. See Raymond's comments regarding Saltiga's!
