Hi

I'm going up to Arniston next week.

Can you give me some advice on which type of traces to use for Bellaman?

Sinker and Hookline lenghts.

Thanks,

Waleed

Hi Waleed, the norm for catching belman, baardman, or tasslefish is to go light, in fact i use an shimano nexave rod and a shimano ex  4000 reel 6kg line and a 1 0 hook, slide trace or semi pulley rig, the lighter the better with these fish, best bait in following order in my opinion is =1 wonderworm 2= moonshine worm, 3=bloodworm and then prawn. hope you get some.

Oh and use a slack line, the fish tends to hook it self, just pick up the rod the fish should be on, happy hunting.

Thanks,

Will give it a try.I noticed in Struisbaai(Next to Harbour wall) they tend to take better on short traces, but at at Arniston(Romans) at night they seem to prefer long traces.

I have some Wonders and Bloodworm in stock.Unfortunately Moonshine is a bit of a problem as I'm abit far from Town to pump.

Will keep you posted.

Waleed
