Fished in a small rubber duck with an electric motor in december. Pulled some Tsunami lures behind at trolling speed , heading away from the jetty , and went ON , with small Leerie . Got the lures from Sportsmans Wharehouse.Forget the Berkleys , they didnt work and I had lots of them.

Theres Grunter as well , but forget Berkley again. i tried their prawn , and bloodworm. The fish were not interested. But had great fun fishing off Goukama river mouth for grunter , ( make sure you take plenty fresh prawn with ). and fish from low onwards ( the change around). When the tide starts pushing in and the water changes colour from brown to clear , the Grunter come down to where the river goes into the sea to feed. You also get Steenbras . But do me a favour. Catch and release. Please.Lets let there be some for me next year.

if you notice the brown water in the river , thats because its low tide and the seawater hasnt started pushing. Fish at the loop in the river.

At Brenton on lake , fishing around the jetty area in the deep water channel along the shore for Leerie. No need to travel far. They seem to likee the jetty area.

Thanks very much.

But do you think that in a canoe I will be able to trawl?

PM Baitmaster on this site. He is the bait supplier in the area.

Breezers in Grey street or the Knysna Fish market next to Fruit and Veg City, They normally have great chokka and lat time I bought it was at a good price.

We have got some good fish in the past in the area around the jetty, just as you come into Knysna, as you go over the bridge, on the right hand side. almost under the bridge itself, some elf and grunter.

Hi Guys, the spot right in front of knysna river club is awesome. Lost a big fish there on sardine head, my braid 15kg snap as the fish was pooling it hard and took off halve my braid off before it snap. There was some kings/ skate been catch by other. Also one guy manage to catch 3 grunters on those worms u get in the lagoon. We seen some big fish swimming there during low tight.will just not take the cracker/ sardine/ chokka.
