Hi guys.

Anyone looking to swop a saltist 40 for a saltist 50H (6 months old). The reel is abit to heavy for my rod and throws the balance off.

it should be a good balance on a 400/3. the 40 is not much lighter than a 50. is the reel to wide or is it the weight

I think it's because the reel is to wide. The shimano is more or less the same width as the Daiwa 40. I've casted with a daiwa 40 and I feel very comfortable with it.

that makes more sense, the 40 is easier to palm and lay the line

no unfortunately not. i am looking for a 50 but i dont want to to get rid of my 40. i am saving up for a saltiga
