I had Sea Barbel in Brazil done up a stew (smoor)... Tasty... also had it smoked

Gurnard... oven baked

Marinated Horse Mackeral (Piri  Piri - Mozambique style) done on the coals

Haarders (Mullets) salt + pepper on the coals... freshly baked bread

Have to agree with this one - fresh from the sea, coarse salt, don't even clean it if it's a "skoon pens", plaasbrood & plaasbotter - KONINGSKOS!

I'm not a big fish eater i leave that to the wife. I must however say the best fish i've eaten was Patagonian tooth fish, very expensive very rare and endangered. I didn't know that at the time.

Where about did you get the Toothfish from? I used to work on the boats catching them, we ate it quite often and didnt really like it that much!

A gewone ou vars snoek done quickly (+/- 6 minutes) on hot coals (all juices sealed and contained) takes a lot of beating, but my personal favourite is still a freshly fried or smoked Elf.
