Took my little brother and his friend fishing at Klipvoor(barakalalo?) a while back and i was having more fun with the kurper but managed to get them onto some barbel as this was their target species.

Caught these barbel in the Hennops on our farm in Eldoraigne on malberries when the river came down and dried later. Yes malberries. Not PB but not bad considering the river is only three metres wide.

Next year Im going to target them flat-out when I move back to Gauteng, looking to improve on this long standing yet modest pb.. Was my biggest fish ever at the time

Aqua, why the hell are you leaving the beautiful coast to come and live in the disgusting city?

Are you mal! We must hook up if that happens.

haha jaa well.. life happens and stuff... for sure we can hook up. I only wanna catch cats on a roepstok anyway, think thats the best rush one can get being away from the coast

Not my PB but a nice fish caught at the vaal river this weekend.

We caught 12 fish in 2 hours, most in the 2 - 5 kg range. Also missed 2 big fish, one snapped my 30lb braid like it was cotton.
