Start with 130lbs Cortland Dacron or 300lbs Hollow Core Spectra.

Using a sewing needle on each end form a loop.

Then using a Tanaka splice - sewing the ends of the connector loop through one another at least 4 stitches per side lock the loop in place and thread the short end through the body of the long leg of the connector.

Carefully thread the cable into the needle, making sure that none of the single wires pass outside the needle.

Exit the cable through the double section of splice and then pull the needle off, leaving the cable exposed.

Slowly feed the cable back into the connector ensuring it ends between the double splice.

Serve (bind) the dacron onto the cable with either spectra or floss and apply the necessary glue to seal the connection (Super Glue / JB Line One spectra glue and activator / Polio bond)

ready to be used as a swimbait leader, 6-9m depending on the size of bait. Also ideal for kite fishing

Now to make it rod guide friendly for reeling onto the reel and more over for casting.

Thread it into a cheap 50lbs Dacron using your 1.5mm needle. Ideal is the Cabelas 50lbs Greenspot which opens wide and costs aroung 66c/m bought online.

Serve the end of the greenspot close to the connector serving and apply adhesive.

now' you're set to cast without that dreaded noise on the guide Xerxes last experienced.

My 9m 440lbs coated steel windon.
