Afternoon chaps,

the resurection of this thread has made me somewaht confused, but later things got clearer for me. Still, this was a discussion on MOERING-ONLY-TOOLS and not MOERING-BUT-STILL-A-GOOD-FISHING-TOOL discussion.

So my answer is thus:

Craig, can you plainly list the MOERING-BUT-STILL-A-GOOD-FISHING-TOOL rods in order of preference, taking all types of rods (custom and commercialy built) into consideration. Lets just say the criteria is for an average provincial angler (exclude the Christos, Tjaards and Sarels) to reach 150m with any type of weight. With a budget of less than R2200 a rod.

Practice,practice,practice...Ive just started to fish competatively, and its "forcing" me to fish at least twice a month. If I look back,I have improved my fishing a lot.And its purely because I fish more often, and because I fish with guys like Waldok,Rampokker and JPS.You learn all the time.Somebody once asked Eric Clapton when he would know he could play guitar.Clapton replied that you had to practice untill your fingers bled, and then you start practicing.

Good one Carp1. Practice makes (closer to) perfect.

Took out the Bazooka's today and did a few casts and I realised just how much different they are from the Vectras. These are not just for fishing close by all day. Will be sending them in to Enigma soon to have the low rider guides fitted and then the practice practice practice starts.

The problem with fishing the Vaal so much is that one gets into a comfort zone because fishing is mostly not too difficult. But this last league was really a wake up call for me. I am currently leading our clubcom, but during the league I did poorly. Not what I was expecting so now I have to go back to rethinking my whole strategy regarding leagues etc. To be honest, I don't like loosing...

Menere,

So sy tegniek MOET great wees.Enige van daai kaliber hengelaars gaan verder as ek gooi met my eie stokke.

Haha! Love is in the air!?!?

My leader is gewoonlik so 5.5m lank 17lbs XX brown cameleon. Gaan so 4 keer om die spoel wanneer ek cast.
