Went into this little fish shop in Lambertsbay on Thursday, and there I stumble upon something that I was looking for for a while:

Rinse & clean them, add salt & pepper to taste:

Dust them of with flour & dip them in beaten egg:

Fry them in butter:

A meal fit for a king!

And a good knock to my cholesterol count.

Brilliant! I rate the kuite better than the snoek. Hake kuite are also a must, I think possibly a bit richer than snoek, but par excellence!

Die beste uit broer! Once you've eaten kuite (a little aromat & lemon juice squeezed over them), no more caviaar!

Some of the guys i used to catch snoek with would take the stomach, clean it out and put the liver and kuite in it and fry that!
Im not a big fan of the kuite! One of my buddies even tried to eat the male roe and said that was very bad!!
