Dang. Cant you just use normal tin? I know some of those solder bars can contain up to 40% tin. I got some not a long time ago at a scrap yard and used them to make spoons they came out fine

Or why not use normal lead and then get some of that metal tape thats shiny and coat it with that? Just check the DIY lure section benny made a post about foiling techniques

Ok. Will cast a few in lead & see how they come out.
I will be casting da sheppie bomber, whats da best way 2 attach da brass on da back of da spoon. Was thinking 2 coat it wit flux, place it between da 2 halves then pour da lead. Will be using very thin brass shimstock. Wat u think?

Your best quality metal is WM90 which is supposedly 90 % pure white metal .  I get mine from a company in JHB called Afrisol and their contact number is 011 8654141 . The last time I bought it was about R150.00 per kg  . I was previously paying about R300.00 from Non Ferrous....

For those guys dat are interested, I phoned Afrsol. They have confirmed a price of R 167 + vat p/kg for da wm 90. The only problem is getting it down 2 Durban.
If any1 has some contacts dat
travel between durban & josi, will it be possible 2 arrange something?
Plz let me know.

How many kilos will you be wanting to bring down?
I'd like a kilo for myself, and i might know of someone coming down either this week or early next week...
