Hi Jughead....I hear you abt being hooked...it's addictive & contagous LOL! If Im fishing  the river, I usually go below Barrage, just below the wall there's a place called Erina Spa. A bit further down there's also Wesvaal resort, which delivered some biggies (2 -4kg) last time I was there. Bite tempo was slow though & I lost alot of traces, at both these venues. Abramsrustoord (upstream from barrage) delivered some catches when I was last there, but their prices became too ridiculous, but a nice bank & nice for the kids.

If Im fishing the Dam, there are lots of venues too choose from - UJ, Bosckop, Vaalview...

@ Quick Bite Yep I get free weekend every now and then

@ silver_foxx The last I fished at the dam was when we at Dennaysville but blanked, really like Emerald plenty of fish and very relaxing.... Ja look never been into fishing but now all I wanna do is fish... We should hook up sum time maybe I could catch sum tips.....

Its a fishing spot so as long as you booked in you can come with a hundred rods :beer
Check in time at the chalets is 2pm we pulled up at 7am and fished until book in time.....

@jughead....Im by no means any kind of fishing expert, we'll probably end up learning from eachother...LOL! We should make a plan definitely....:fishn

You are most welcome to my to the very little knowledge I have hahahaha..... I wanna get the wife and kid into fishing too so maybe we could make it a family thing.....well thats if you married :shark
