The first 'fish' caught this morning was a nice big octopus which I quickly commandeered for bait, it was still crawling around after I chopped its head off haha...

Anyway sent down a nice leg and caught a small red stump

ended up catching 3 Miss Lucy's and a Roman on that same leg before it fell off:wfish

the next one was a bit better, 45cm FL = 2.6kg SASAA

and the last one the biggest, 50cm FL = 3.5kg SASAA

all 3 were safely released to spawn another day:fswim

We got plenty species today, but mostly small stuff

we got plenty barbel (:fbash), tiiiiny kob, plenty blue hottentot, too many fransmadam, the odd steentjie and white stump, 1hake, pajama sharks, leopard cat sharks, one hound shark, spiny dogfish, panga's, carpenters (got one on jig), romans , santers and one red steenbras

Also had the pleasure of meeting sealine's YMAN.... those sealine caps are handy for identifying fellow members

thats the story of my morning, hopefully it will make you lus while you're reading this from the office ;)

Yes they are, I could never keep one (used to, very tasty)

The bull males develop big humps on their heads, like Australian/NZ Snapper or dorado

Hi Aqua,
They certainly are beautiful fish and good on you for their release.

The Creator of these fish would have to be the best painter in the world.

Cheers,

BH
