I am a beginner at catching galjoen and have not caught one yet.

I dont specifically target galjoen but have caught a few down at Baileys cottage just past surfers corner in Muizenburg but knowing the specifics will be very enlightening...was using washed up redbait just to see how it will respond surprisingly got a small gallie on my second cast in the white water safely released.

About a 200meter walk from surfers corner just walk along the beach walk and you will clearly see it but we usually park on the mainroad side because finding parking does become a schlep on the beach front itself, nice spot for a variety of edibles but it cant get congested with anglers at times which becomes very unpleasant ((r(e(ling::jdchk
