Im heading down to hole in the wall on the 13th of June. I have been to this awesome spot once and just dived the local reefs such as Queens and Black Rock. Does anyone know of any other hot spots down there, or any waypoints? Im looking to target dagga and poensies in particular.:fswim

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

you taking your baot or shore diving?
For shore, dont discount the pinacles straight off the cottages near Little danger. Some very good fish shot there.
off the bpat, mbolompo a short run away. off black rok, there is some very good reef for poensies. Mdumbi pt is about 10km north and has some good reef, but rivers can ruin the vis, even with them being low like now due to no rain.
unfortunately, I dont have my gps with me to give shallow waypoiunts.
june a beaut time there as sea usually clean and the leerie etc are around.
mpame not far around mbolompo pt and some good diving to be had there.
enjoy and safe hunting

Great thanks guys!

At this stage I think dives will be shore entries but gona try organize the boat.

Tkei, are you talking about the pinnicles directly off the hotel i.e to the left of queens rock? Also can you shore dive the reefs for poensies off black rock, or are they a bit far out? Can you also shore dive the reefs off Mdombi? Thanks man, you seem to be the guy to chat to about this stretch of coastline!

I unfortunately had my laptop liberated from my office on thursday night and as a result am on temp internet connectionon spare computers. I also lost all my photos etc of mdumbi, but i will hopefully be up and running by end of week, as my replacement laptop was stolen before i even got it. Bless africa.
I will do na google map of the areas.
Fishlips, correct, pinnacles to right of hotel if loking out to sea. this is my go to spot in the area. also lots of crays.
Black rok poensie reef could be a bit of a swim. fine to get there, but when the GREY STEENBRAS arrives, its a long swim back. a boat is ideal as then mbolompo comes into play etc.
I will do a full GUIDE for you guys and all others in the next few days when I have decent net access.

Hi this pic I took from the top of the Whales Back. It shows the area Tkei is talking about nicely.
