Hi EJ

You can get a day permit from the Tackle shop in Paarl. One could get a permit from Hooks in Brackenfell but they have shut shop, I'm not sure where else permits are available from. Costs R20 per adult angler & 10 bucks per kid (under 10 I think), they give you the gate key when you buy the permit. I will PM you the directions & contact details later, I don't have them with me right now.

Ouboet with his first of the day, baited, cast, struck, reeled in all on his own. 3,0kg ...not bad for a 6 year old!

Action! A great team effort to safely land a 3,4kg carp. The little guy needed a bit of coaching with the net. It's just as lekker to be a spectator as it is to take part.

Ja, I know its corny to post pictures of the kids fishing, but seriously, I reckon this is why I fish. The little sods drive me nuts but to see them having good old fashioned fun is amazing, they thrive on this stuff. Next week the three of us are off to Robertson for a week of fishing, shame mom gets to stay at home...sucks to be her.

Vicb how can it be corny? It is great stuff to see youngsters enjoying the sport we love. So go right ahead and post your pics.

I just laught so lekker for that first pic of your youngest with his first fish of the day. It looks like he can run right under the rods & reels on the stand in the back ground but fish he will fish. hahaha brilliant stuff. I reckon that means if the fish bite on your baits you are old enough. lol
