Vistotdiedood - ongelukkig is hy nie terug water toe nie, maar hy is Vrydag oor die kole gehaal. En glo my ek kan nie verstaan hoekom se die mense nie dis 'n lekker eetvis nie, proe baie naby aan galjoen, net nie so vetterig nie

Ek moet se dit is nuus vir my, ek het nog nooit een geeet nie maar het by n paar ouens gehoor dat hulle nie baie lekker is om te eet nie.....Gaan beslis my volgende een ook op die kole gooi en vir myself sien....Ons vang hulle nogals baie hier in Port Elizabeth ook.

hulle smaak wonderlik, die onplesier kom as jy hom moet skoonmaak, hy stink verskriklik. Maar as jy hom mooi gespoel het en die swart laag membraan uit die buikholte krap en hom op die kole gooi met bietjie botter en appelkoos konfyt,mmmmmm!

Net so ! Dis daai lekker vet wat hom so lekker maak, ek haat 'n droog gebraaide vis. 'n Vis op die kole is beste as die vet so drip en as jy klaar gesmul het moet jy so half naar maar versadig voel!
In ons omgewing noem hulle die vis 'n pan galjoen as gevolg van die feit dat hy bietjie soos 'n galjoen lyk en smaak. Die vis is ook 90% vegetaries dus die swaart membraan in die buik wat verhoed dat die sonlig die vis se maag penetreer en hom laat ontplof, asook die onplesierige reuk van die derms.Die vis kom ook gewoonlik in baie vlak water lanks die kant voor waar al die alge en groen seewier groei. Ek het al die vis gevang met 'n klein stuk see slaai wat laaggety op die rotse beskikbaar is.

when you catching them you know you comeing close to the hottys i normaly find them in rough water same as the hotty but no float and tiny streepie hooks what works for me the one day at kini i caught and reliesed 34 in a few hours great fun on light tackel

Most ppl dont like eating them coz of there smell but its only the guts that stink the meat is quite yummy
