A fetish for knives

I've long been a lover of knives, seldom able to pass an old faithful looking knife by without at least a second glance. Well,  just yesterday I stumbled across this gem....and now she's mine...all mine! ::S

i am in the process of ordering a handmade kukri knife. i have a similar knife to the one in the bottom right corner of your picture, from my father in law, and i have my fathers snoek vlek knife, got it after he passed on, in his tackle box. he was a commercial snoek man.

Great Bowie!

I like that Glock 78 as well. I used to attach it to the shoulder pad of my backpack when I went hiking. The integral bottle opener/finger guard was very handy when dealing with quarts.

Do you use the Glock knife? I lost mine on a hike but it would make a great bait knife.

Looks like a K-Bar there as well?? I have a passion for knives, but they're all home, I'll take pics when I'm in SA again and place some

Hi

I think that is the Glock 78 or Glock 81 if there is a saw on the back

Nice to see responses from fellow knowledgeable knife lovers. :)

Yes, my Glock has quite a history. It was my full time companion for the duration of my stint with 32 Battalion, class of 1980/81. It's seen a lot of action! I unfortunately lost the cap of the 'tampon' dispenser at the back of the knife, but the back of a sawn off 308 cartridge suffices :)

this is one of my favourites though. Female elephant tusk handle, and elephant skin scabbard. Hand made by one of SA's top knife makers! Cost me an arm and a leg a decade ago
