Feedback on the Drag washers of the Omoto Rock & Surf and Offshore reels:
"

    * Beide die Ulises en OSM word voorsien van Technocarbon-washers.
Both Ulises & OSM is supplied with Technocarbon washers

Other reels in the market using the same :New Saltiga, Shimano DC, Shimano Tiagra & new Saltist (99%sure)

Net vir inligting: Carbontex is die brand, materiaal is Technocarbon
Just for info: Carbontex is a brand, material is Technocarbon.

Ah, a 20/40 with a facelift

The rep came around a while back and confirmed this reel is exactly the same as a 20/40/speedmaster

internally it looks identical to me
This is indeed what it is, a copy of a well tried and tested reel at a better price.

Quite number of these reels in use around here that are generally worked quite hard and I have yet to hear of one giving trouble.

I would buy one if I needed a reel in this class.

I have been uing the Omoto GTR 20 II and 25 II offshore reels for just on 4 years now off my jetski.

I can honestly say that they are equal to any other reels (read TLD25) I have fished with.

I am not a big maitenance guy, just rinse them and store them. It is only now that I have to start replacing the drag washers.

I Caust my first Grunter on a Omoto 4000 Batrunner reel (before I had any saltwater equipment). That is the only piece of freshwater equopment I kept. A superp reel that brought out lots of tiger fish for me and is still going strong!
