Hi Hooked,

13oz   Never Dude,  Biggest we would throw would be 7oz maybe 8oz.  As we are fishing for smaller fish, the bigger rods over here tend to have very soft tips to detect bites from small fish and also to protect the worms that we would be looking to cast.  The soft tip really comes into it's own here.  If distance is key, and you would like more distance without having to learn complicated casting techniques then the longer rods will help for sure.

Nope..i think hooked is holding tight onto the brand off dam rods just incase its a total failure in the surf... the crazy part is the reel sits so high up the rod he wont reach the drag knob to loosen it after a mother off a bronzie takes him water skiing!lol!

Safari chiller almost complete.
The skin has been cut.I used high heat refective sheeting that is used overseas in the island style display fridges.Reflects up to 80% of heat.It is a cloth that can be layed on with resin.Im just waiting for next year when a buddy of mine who does fibre glassing can do the resin work.Gonna lay the sheet over polystyrene boxes that I bought at isolite.Cost so far?
Styro box aka tunatainer about 80 litre capacity R135,00
Sheeting R25
Resin and labour R150

Put that in your safari and smoke it.lololololol
