if you want to do it right you must also put on the size of your sinker and the size of your line and if you used a lead line or not and what size lead line then we talk.

That is if we were "competing" against eachother, but we were not.

Everyone used their own setup that they were comfortable with.  For the next meeting we will use the same setup and try and improve our own distance.

Huh?

Should bwe just post our setup with the results above? Is that what you were saying?

Then mine would be:

Blue Marlin G3 4:6 Heavy Tip, Torium 30 with 0.45mm + 0.65mm leader, 6oz sinker. Results: 113m, 115m.

Wanneer is daar weer 'n casting kompetisie? Ek wil ook so bietjie kyk of ek nog kan gooi, ek het darem lank gelede toe my grandwave nog nuut was naby die 160m geland, maar vir daai moes ek die special two step uithaal!
Daai two step is dodelik, my oom het my once uitgevang met daai move, maar ek het daai gou gou gecopy.

the guys were having fun with the 'hybrid' tonight. first time ive ever seen a guy so nervous that his mouth was dry, just to gooi the hybrid.. ai marthin.. lol! and 'suicidal wikus' with the minora blade cuts on his wrist.. lol! im sure if his sinker didnt snap off he wouldve hit the 200m mark easily. im just glad i managed to hit the 140m mark! now to learn how to throw my finnor which is much faster than my torium..::S

i'm doing the speedmaster for sure... going to call old salt net bietjie later!!!

But as i said last night... the speedmaster is much wider, so much more oppertunity to misbehave....

Ebs that hybrid is a dream to cast! Last time i was that nervous was my first attempt at a Penn 49 wide spool!!!!

I'd love to see and have seen in Galjoen's case what it will do with a stiffer rod and a bigger sinker!!!!
