Not my fish, shot by a mate of mine in the northern oilfields of Angola a week ago. They were in 32m of water so had to be relatively close to shore (thats probably also why the water looks like mud).Known as one of the hardest fighting fish which just never quit,so he was lucky to spine it.All fish the guys shoot are given to the kitchen staff to prepare for the whole rig, nothing goes to waste and cobia is very good eating.

32 meters of water, Ambrizete or Cabinda then, do you know what block does he work at ?

This was a 26kg prodigal. So imagine one TWICE the weight!

Deisel, I had a quarter share of this fish, and it tastest brilliant....fresh and even after a month in the freezer. 4 families shared in this bounty and it tastest a lot better than boxed hake hehe!

As with all fish, never over-cook it. Hey maybe your oldman concocted a sauce for your one that didn't turn out too well. I've done that before! Now I stick to plain and simple lime, garlic and parsley or make sure I invent a new sauce before having a couple of frosties/whiskies and use the wine in the sauce instead of imbibing it!

Cheers

Hell that is a buss. I like the constant shark comments, they really do look like sharks under the water.
That mis-identification allowed me to shoot my first prodigal. Mate thought shark and turned away from it, Thanks I bagged it, 12.4kg.
Do you all know these guys can get to 6kg in 1 yr.
