I want to go on a kayak trip for barbel. Anyone interested?

There is a nice spot close to the powerstation in Vereeniging. Other sugestions welcome.

If you need a kayak, we can make a plan. I've got a couple of kayaks.

I would love to but I work most Saturdays and Sundays which is why you will find me on Roodeplaat most Thursdays :)
Lets see the dates and I will see if I can make a plan.

It is part of a boat fishing club. My dad is a member, so we can get a discounted rate. They are having a meeting within next week and then we can set a date.
We can do some night fishing the Friday night, fish Saterday, and round it all up on Sunday.

how is Roodeplaat lately?

There wasnt too much Hyacinth around which was great, the water was however greener that I have seen it in a long time. I was using huge Platties which resulted in me losing alot of fish (think I lost 8 in total due to hook not setting), I changed to a double hook setup and started catching, I got 5 with the biggest 8kg.
Not a bad day, I was on the water from around 06:30 till 13:00.

I will put a report up once I have downloaded the pics.

Not at Roodeplaat, there are way too many barbel for the plattie to be found by a bass.
