I suppose thats why everyone is different. Please post your guys's T-Tops when they are finished, would love to see them.

I just dont see how the T-Top offers more cover from the sun. Also storage should become a problem. I added pics to show my canopy. A Conopy is lighter cheaper and more versatile. (I am revering to Rubberducks)
Lets look at it this way:
Advantages to covers (like yours):
It is cheaper,
Offers lots more shade.

Advantages to T-Tops:
When fighting a fish the web of poles and ropes don't get in the way,
When standing, they offer something to hold onto, especially when launching in surf.
When a boat rolls in the surf, T Tops can save your life.
Extra rod holders clear an already small deck area
Less of a sail effect (spin off for less shade though)

Hi Dean

Time is not playing the game work has me all over the place at the moment but I must make a effort to start.

Sorry only saw this thread now.

Guys I must say the t-top on my duck is one of it's best feature

Like Bennie says rods out of the way, really handy to hold onto when moving around on deck and makes sight casting a lot easier than with a sun canopy on.

I will add some pics of mine after the long weekend, as my rig is in Durban.

My t-top folds down/into position in five minutes for towing purposes.
