Hi Guys,
I've been reading this forum for quiet a while now and am keen to apply some of the techniques on New Zealand fish like Yellow Tail Kingfish and various sharks. The problem is there are very few surf rods available over here for use with overhead reels and virtually none that will cast 7-9oz sinkers, After a talk with a Shimano sales rep over here it's possible that one of these rods could be imported for me, but i need to give him the product code first, I've had a bit of a look around on the net and haven't found anything, does anyone on here have access to a SA Shimano catalog.
Alternatively, are there any other slide baiting rods produced by the other major manufactures that are worth looking into? Daiwa, Penn, Berkly/Shakespeare/Abu.
I'm looking toward the major manufactures because the smaller SA companies don't have any supply lines to over here as far as i know.
