Hi guys,

Can anybody give me advice on where the best place is to stay at "De Mond , Struisbaai"?

I know about Vogelgezang , De Mond Cottage and De Mond Veld Cottage but which is best ? Anybody been there?

Any electricity / freezing facilities for bait?

I am planning to go there but I dont know which accommodation is best suited.

Probably going to take girlfriends along.

We want to fish the rivermouth and surrounding beach.

Thanks in advance^^..

Hi,

De Mond is a CapeNature reserwe and you can stay there as they have accomodation within the reserwe. I personally have not stayed there as my family stays in Struis. Here attached is the link to the CapeNature website with further information regarding the reserwe and accomodation http://www.capenature.org.za/reserves.htm?reserve=De+Mond+Nature+Reserve#reserve_tabs

Struisbaai is roughly 30km drive from De Mond and you will have to go through the reserve gates and walk to the mouth. Within Struisbaai you can find a lot of accomodation which will suite anybody.

Hope it helps

Cheers

John
