Change your location from Gauteng to Southern Cape, then you will get a response. Southern Capers are not very fond of Gautengers.;):?

Was quite surprised by the leeries that came out the week after the fishing ban was lifted. Got a few small ones at Kleinbrak on topwater.

A question for the veterans of the Southern Cape, does the grunter feed at all during winter in this area? Or will I be wasting my time targeting them?

Jissie, then I have no luck with them during winters.
I've only caught grunter during summer months in the Garden Route area, nothing during the winter.
I should probably try some other baits such as live klipvis or sardine.
I almost always use sand- or mudprawn when targeting them.

Where is the best place to get mullet with a thrownet? Im close to the touws river area.... . I struggled last December with them. Threw along the feeds for a few hours only caught one. Any tips? Spots?

My first bet is always to look for them in the surf -low tide. If you dont come right try blind casting in the river/estuary mouth.

Howzit gents

Any fish coming out in the wilderness area lately? I’m driving up from Cape Town tomorrow morning early to target kob for a few days. Head back to Cape Town again on Sunday afternoon.

I haven’t had much luck in False Bay so really hoping it improves when I arrive in paradise :-)

Any spots looking more promising than others at present?

Thanks in advance!
