Ooo daai Lamborghini's!:SSS

Stem saam, die Acecrafts sal hulle maar laat verbyploeg.  :::S

Seriously though - only hull designs I have never heard any negative comments about are Acecraft, Capecraft, Butt, Kosi and the smaller Kei's.

This is a pic of my 15'6...

I has to employ some locals to carry it of the ocean when the swells hit 1 meter!  :)

Joking Doris!

That boat could go ANYWHERE...literally!

Comes into it's own when swells hit 5 metres and you have to negotiate each wave seperately

Brilliant in a following big sea cause it rides naturally bow up

I could go on!

@%$@** chirpy cheep cheeps!

Enjoy the weekend!  :)

What ever happened to the Ace craft moulds / company? It is really sad that they are no longer being produced!

My brother in law will start renovations on their Ace Craft soon....I will get him to post his progress!

I was in the Strand 2 months ago and there was a joint selling a "new" 660 DV...

We know this not possible..still a fantastic looking boat, but one will have to weigh her...

What happened to the moulds has been a mystery to me until BJordaan cleared it up!

Z Craft are building them, but not for sale to us!...and they MAY build boats!

I paste his post of yesterday's here:

"Hey bud!

Well the moulds were bought by the Sharks board and they will not use any other hull.  So it is safe to say that these are probably the most seaworthy boats around, as much as I hate to say it! They supplied the mould to Z-Craft so they can build these boats specifically for them and NOBODY else. You could not trade your left nut or anything else for these hulls and Z-Craft is not allowed to build them for anyone but the Sharks board. Z-Craft is not the cheapest boat builder around, but they know exactly what they are doing and any of their boats are impressive which is why they have been entrusted with these moulds to built the Ace craft.

I am visiting the factory again on Tomorrow, will take my camera with and post a report in the Ace craft thread."

Thanks Bennie,

Looking forward to the whole end to this saga!

You are buying a gem..never been on one but I KNOW they are good!  My ex- brother in law has a 17? footer and complains the 4 strokes are too heavy on the transom..but my middle son hooked a Black Marlin on that boat last year in the 12? species in Moz last year...more than I can brag about! :(

Roll on..... RIP Ace Craft...see, I am an old man now and heading for the dunes with my brille and pille!

Thika

Thanks Bennie

Yup that is the exact same hull they have been using for all these years

Those boats are worked VERY hard, normally with 85 Yammies in all sea conditions as you can imagine

I once saw a pic where a monster GW was being hauled up with the net, with the boat taking on water over the gunwhale and some of the crew hanging over the other end to balance

I think their boats are 19'6?  You can see them parked if you drive through the golfcourse past the airstrip at the Wild Coast Casino...they have a base in the bush next to the Masamba lagoon

Thanks for the pics!
