Post some pictures bro. lets see what it looks like, including the back of the barrel by the handgrip. If I cant help maybe someone else can. It must have a place to pump somewhere if it is pneumatic.  Dont worry about asking questions re being an idiot. We all need to ask questions to learn , thats what life is about - learning and advancing ourselves. Most people are more than willing to help someone else out so it does no harm to ask.

This is what it looks like when you open that screw cap on the back. The pump actually screws into this aperture and then 180 to 200 pumps and you will have 20 psi. Here is the owners manual for you.

You do not have to pump it every time you shoot, I dont know how many shots you can take before pumping but apparently it is quite a few. Maybe someone else here can tell us exactly. The cover screws out, careful not to tighten it too much when you put it back because it is plastic going into metal. I think you need to try get a pump from cressi if you plan on keeping the gun.

im interested to see how much of a diferance the pumping it up makes, coz i was quite impressed by it already altho the spear drops very quickly.il just keep it in my room for show i think, getting a pump might be lotsa effort.anyway ill open it 2nyt and take sum pics.

Arno check your pm.

Guys I shot my new gun yesterday and man oh man do I love it. I was shocked at how quiet it is and how easy it is to aim accurately. The gun is so easy to swim with as well and loading I think is easier than my rail gun. As for range I am well impressed although I only took a blacktail yesterday. At the end of the dive when I shot it off in open water I got my wife to watch to the side of me to check what the spear does from another perspective and she said that she did not notice any drop in the trajectory. What I noticed is that the gun jerked when the spear ran out of line. That was surprising because I didnt really believe Cressi's claim of 12 foot of range. Anyway seems they are correct. I am thinking of betting the Cressi Sub 100 now for open water as they claim 16 foot range on that gun.
