Hooked, typo on the previous lne diameter.

Fishton, I'll take that strike! But I think we both know that the 'humble' bass is the most destructive invasive fish in our waterways. As a bass man you would, I'm sure, argue that the Carp does the most damage?

Trophy,

I have read so much about this fish, that fish, this alien species is ok, that alien species isn't etc etc etc.  It becomes a little fuzzy eventually with all these theories and so called 'research'.

But when it comes to "most damage", that's us humans ... we will stuff anything up, be it in the name of 'conservation', sport or harvesting.

It's sold under the Sunlite brand in Zim. Made with lard and bicarb with a blue dye. Comes out of the pack rock hard. You have to mould it until it gets soft and then mould it around the hook.

Works better for Vundu than ANY bait. That lunker was one of three huge fish hooked that night and the only one landed!

he he he he ja  i got a big fright when i saw it come up the first time, i thought it was a small barbel and then when it lifted again my brother in law was standing next to me and we both screamed like little girls:)

there were a couple of nervous moments when my boet in law went to net it because he's never netted a fish before (it was his first time fly fishing) and he missed the first few attempts!

the only blind thing was that she wasn't released, if you look carefully at the pic she's got a bit of the top of her tail missing and she just wouldn't revive. when we cut her open we realised she was completely egg bound and had exhausted herself in the fight. that's the one blind thing about hen fish in still water dams is that they don't release their eggs and die. i've only been fly fishing for a few months so i only found this out afterwards otherwise we could have squeezed the eggs out and she would have revived ok. at least next time i know...
