Smallest fish

This is a very funny one.

My smallest was a 250g muddie on a 3 x 20mm boilie D-Rig. I could not believe this, the little bugger could not even fit one of the boilies in his mouth - but I landed it.

Share your funny one's, so that I don't feel so alone.

Come on guys, don't tell me that you only catch monsters. There must be times when this happened to you - just want to know for interest sake.

Whahahaha Schelton.

The smallest ive seen was a 500g on a 26mm boilie at Germiston last winter.

My personal worst on the hair is a carp at the vaaldam. Approx 800g on a single artificial maize.

Seems that all the untold ones are gonna come out here ....... LOL!!!

Don't feel bad - I might have the record for the smallest one - not that it's something to be proud of.

Sorry for letting you guys come out with your worst :fbash

Later you can kick me in the ...... for this one.

Have a good weekend. ::S

My smallest mirror I ever caught on a line was a wopping 150gm, not specimen though lol! I put it into quarantine for 6weeks and introduced it to my koi pond, its now almost 4kg and it turned black. I also have a 3kg grass carp in the pond also about 200gm when I caught it also went black.

Smallest Specimen style, must be about 3kg.:sf:::

300g carp at rust de winter, talking bout muddies, i got a 3.9kg muddie, in rietspruit ventersdorp, on a BLOODWORM boilie... the day the BCUK stuff was packed out at willie in florida, it took 10 hours to run, as we could see by the bite it was a muddie, thats a story for another time

200gr Carp on a 20mm boilie and he was hooked in the mouth even though he could only, possibly get his mouth around 1/8th of the boilie.

Wierdest catch was 2 x Lassoed Rednosed mudfish at Arabie dam.

The swim was alive with fish and we had millions of Kurper and Muddies bugging us. The Kurper nibble on the boilie till it's eventually a little square (like a dice)

I caught 2 Muddies without hooking them (on critically balanced baits) the hooklink went around the fish and hooked itself (obviously with the tail current stirred up by the fish).

On 2 occasions I pulled out muddies around 400gr and 600gr where the lasoo had pulled tight and secured the fish around the stomach just behind the pectoral fins (not a hook in the fish - mouth or anywhere else)

Sorry Naruto.... no pics from my side - was too upset. After I let the little **** go I thought it would have been a good idea to take a pic: too late!!!
Hopefully there is no next time - if there is - I'll take a pic.

I got a little 1.5kg common on a double 20mm boilie recently, I think he was licking the flavour from the boilies when the hook suprised him.

I think its even worse if you catch something and its not a fish...

I was fishing a private venue in Delmas area,,, all my mates were catching, and me not a single bite....

A loooong 5 days without a single bite(not a single bleep), 400m in and in about 4meter water, got THE RUN of my life!!!!!

Fight on!!, and what a fight........

But wait, every time I lift my rod tip, far in the distance a black dot seems to go under the water,,, turned out to be a snakebird(Anhinga)...

Thats my PB snakebird(my 1st snakebird,not mentioning bleshoenders) on a Crit balanced tiger.

Never took a photo or weighted it, was to Sh!t scared, as it fights harder outside the water then in it!!

Somehow managed to release it safely(by safely i also mean we were unharmed)...

7day trip ended with;

2 other mates, with a lot of fish

and

Me with only one snakebird and a bruised ego...
(im sure the bird counts and therefore its not a blank)
