Hi y`all,

A disturbing silence rules in the ranks of the fresh water anglers. Been surfing Sealine for some reports on this past weekend`s fishing but it would appear as if all the dams have dried up. I unfortunately did/could not go and am therefor keen to find out what the rest of the fraternity has been up to.

Greetings

Cornelius

Yeah

I know the silence, I was in bed for the better part of the last week and a halve, anyhow did manage to go to RDW on Sat, but them LGF's had other plans or they were scared :swearless, by all the Shumies, Mika's and the likes racing needlessly with their overpowered rigs, so much so that by the time I left only two of the boats had caught 1 each (anyhow that's what I heard and saw). Anyhow, RDW, tooooooo many boat's (F1 style)....... next time I go there, it'll be like this:uzi:kaykak:hyst::uzi:kaykak:woohoo:uzi:kaykak::S, and then I'll do this :kaykak peacefully.

Hi Guys,
LGF, What`s the entrance fee to RDW these days? Last I heard you had to hock your house to get in.
Ryan, How was the bubble excercise?
Were they getting them in private or public waters?
Regards
Cornelius

RDW was not a good spot to me at over the weekend as 6 clubs had their fish of there. We were there as well with the Big yellow Rod and Marine boat. We managed some small ones and one of 1.315kg. But the problem was that there were more space in a sardine can than the spots producing fish

Sum (LL) just bigger ones than others, he's been ripping me off the entire day, but I'll getim when next I go fishin, and get him good I will:uzi:fbash.

About the homemade lures, the most difficult part is making the mold, pref it should be of aluminium castings but I have made some moulds from hard silicone poured over a balsa shaped lure (hand made), the rest is easy, take your old messed up softs melt them down on not too much heat and pour, wait for it to cool down and voila.  The mould making is the thing that takes time and alota practise and back to the old drawing board and so forth, anyhow thats how I made soft baits from various strike pro hard jerks baits...... oh and they work.

here's some pic of the alu casts i mentioned, however haven't found anyone that could pour these casts or mill them from a solid piece etc. Also tried my B-HIND OFF to get the products to pour the lures with, from al over, had several contacts with people all over the world, but would you guess it NO ONE WANTS TO SUPPLY me or Export the stuff to SA, so that's why I started melting the old stuffed up lures.

Your ally moulds look fantastic...where did you get them from ?

I am making spoons with silicone moulds which are easy to make and use..

will be trying them out with bass soft baits one of these days
